RUE P. STEWART
I've been working with families ever since I started practicing law in 2026. My first job as an attorney was as a Family Advocate Attorney for five years at East Baltimore Development, Inc. When I formed the Stewart Law Office in 2011, I soon became drawn to assisting clients in their divorces. I then made divorce and custody the primary focus of the firm.
I feel honored to have the privilege of being a divorce attorney because of my own personal life experiences. These circumstances have been my own journey through challenges and successes; often through difficulties that seemingly lasted too long and while in the middle of them I felt lost and discouraged.
I have realized in my own life, when I became brave enough, with the help of others and my faith, to walk through these struggles, I was the able to find the silver lining inside of these challenges. I know how difficult it can be to even begin to lean into the fear of facing problems that are right in front of us and don't go away. It can take a lot of courage and faith just to decide to to take the first step; especially for the client who has been paralyzed by the dilemma of their marriage and custody problems but knows with all their being that they somehow need to move forward.
At the Stewart Law Office we provide empathy, hope, strength, and legal counsel to our clients in assisting them in walking through one of the most difficult challenges in their lives while supporting them to look for the great opportunities inside of these difficulties

Introduction; I was once a divorced, single mother going through hard times. I am now a wife of 20 years and a mother to three beautiful beings.
With that said, I come from a place of personal understanding in the divorce process and can further relate to many going through such emotions during this transition. My faith gave me my strength to move forward. My own experiences led me to discovering my true self. I acquired many blessings in such challenging times. Through all this, I then found my passion in law and wanting to further assist those in their own difficulties.
Education Background
I graduated from Liberty University School of Law, Lynchburg VA in May of 2020. I earned my Bachelor's degree, Cum Laude, in Paralegal Studies with additional focus on Criminal Justice.
